Illustration Friday-Paradise


Struggled with this until I opened a new sharpie and there it was paradise a new pen and lots of space to draw - rainy days in the summer holidays were the best. I was given the back of some wallpaper and a handful of crayons and allowed to draw - sunny days I had to go out and play (The Curse of Being a Boy!)

It's school hols, so went to the zoo (Bristol Zoo in fact) took my sketchbook and here are some of the scribbles that emerged. And scribbles they are. Lots of fun to do though, must do it again sometime - when my bank account recovers!

Work eh! Some people seem to take delight in making the job as hard for others as they can. (funny how they all end up in management?) Had a bit of a week and for some reason the phrase 'Too many witches not enough tornadoes' came into my head. The pic soon followed, All together now 'Ding Dong, The witch is dead"

Here we go. Our little ones were looking at fish this week, did mean I spent a break time filleting mackeral!! For this I went to college for 4 years. Anyhow got home and scribbled some funky fish. Pitt drawing pen and grey tone felt tip and some red pen I found for those who are interested in that sort of thing!

My wife insisted that I put up a pic of the boyz. These are sock creatures made with the help of John Murphy's excellent book and website. Solved many a present problem this past Christmas and are curiously addictive to make. I now have a huge pile of them taking up far too much room.
